CESD 706 Qualitative Research I
The Qualitative Research I course provides students with the opportunity to learn about research designs appropriate to qualitative and action research questions, qualitative approaches to data analysis, and models and methods of program evaluation. Students will be asked to study research questions or hypotheses appropriate for professional research and publication and learn about strategies for conducting culturally relevant and culturally competent research. Students will develop a research proposal for a human subjects/institutional review board review to be studied in Qualitative Research II. This course will provide three hours of ethics training in ethical considerations and strategies for conducting qualitative research.
