CESD 707 Quantitative Research I

The Quantitative Research I course provides students with research designs appropriate to quantitative and mixed-methods research. Students will engage with quantitative data analysis methods, models, and methods of sampling relevant to research design, instrument design, and program evaluation. Students will be introduced to data analysis programs (i.e., SPSS, R, Jamovi, JASP) and strategies for conducting culturally relevant and culturally competent research. Students will develop a research proposal for a human subjects/institutional review board review to be studied in Quantitative Research II. This course will provide three hours of ethics training in ethical considerations and strategies for conducting research.
