EXS 314 Intro to Therapeutic Intervent
This course is designed to provide an entry-level overview of the various therapeutic interventions provided in rehabilitation settings with a focus on therapeutic exercises, rehabilitation and modalities used in the treatment of orthopedic injuries. Various rehabilitation protocols will be introduced stressing the importance of safe progression and body mechanics, along with indications and contraindications for these exercises. An introduction to physical, chemical, and mechanical modalities will complement the students’ understanding of the healing process. Students will gain an understanding of the human body’s physiological response to various treatment methods.(Pre/Co-Requisites: BIOL 209-210)
