PED 234 PiYo
PiYo is a hybrid, athletic workout which combines the mind/body practices of Pilates and yoga, as well as the principles of stretch, strength training, conditioning, and dynamic movement. The class is a combination of various styles of Pilates and yoga in continuous movement and flow from one excersise to another.

This course focuses on developing cardiovascular endurance, stamina, and overall fitness through structured aerobic exercise, interval training, and conditioning activities designed to improve heart health and physical performance.

This class focuses on improving numerous aspects of wellness including, cardiovascular fitness, muscular strength and endurance, flexibility, mental health, and nutrition.

PED 318 Barre
All Physical Education courses aim to improve physical health by focusing on one or more component of fitness: cardiovascular health, muscular strength and endurance, balance, and/or flexibility. Some courses are sports specific and will also increase skills in that sport. All courses require students to complete 10 hours of activity and several small academic assignments to receive credit for the course. This course will use Barre methods to improve health. Barre is an exercise method drawing from Yoga, Pilates, and Ballet Dance, emphasizing small, pulsing movements with emphasis on form, alignment and core engagement.

PED 323 Couch to 5K
