This course provides students with an understanding of the structure and function of state and local governments in the United States. Students will explore local and state-level policy issues and administrative processes. They will also explore urban issues in the U.S. and discuss solutions to all of these challenges. PED 222 Yoga
The purpose of this class is to provide the student with the appropriate knowledge and skills in yoga. As a result of the class, the student will improve his/her general physical fitness and skill performance while learning principles, techniques and safe practices of yoga. The basic yogic principles of pranayama (breath control), asana (posture), relaxation and meditation will be explored.

PED 225 Water Aerobics
Promote Physical Fitness through basic water workouts focusing on endurance, stamina, upper/lower body and core activities. Emphasis placed on aerobic, strength, flexibility and joint protection.

This course is designed to improve muscular strength, endurance, flexibility, posture, balance, and relaxation techniques. Students will be provided with a working knowledge of Pilates’ positions, the benefits associated with Pilates and knowledge of skills needed to pursue independent training as part of their lifetime fitness program.
