Disability Services Office
Immaculata University is committed to providing reasonable academic accommodations to students eligible under the Americans with Disabilities Act. Accommodations are tailored to the differing needs of each student (see the Students with Disabilities Policy). Common academic accommodations include:
- Extended time for testing
- Notetaking accommodations, such as audio recording of lectures or use of a SmartPen
- The option to take exams in a distraction-reduced testing environment.
- Textbooks in an alternative format
- Other college-appropriate accommodations as determined through the accommodations request process.
The Disability Services Office is located in the Gabriele Library on the 2nd floor in the Learning Support Services Suite. To request accommodation, students should complete the online request form on the Disability Services webpage and may submit supporting documentation from a qualified practitioner in support of their request. Academic accommodations may be submitted at any time and are considered on a rolling basis; however, accommodations are not retroactive. Housing accommodations requests must be submitted no later than March 1 for returning students and June 30 for incoming students.
