Partnership Programs

Immaculata University has developed several partnership relationships with highly regarded local intuitions. These partnerships provide smooth pathways for students completing bachelor’s degrees through Immaculata to pursue graduate studies in a variety of fields.

Partner Institutions

Alvernia University

Immaculata’s agreement with Alvernia University provides graduates of IU’s Exercise Science program a pathway for application to both the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) and Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy (MSOT) programs.

DeSales University

Immaculata University partners with DeSales University on 3+2 program option, allowing juniors at IU to apply for conditional acceptance to the DSU MFA (in Creative Writing and Publishing) program. Qualified candidates must have a GPA of at least 3.3 and three written recommendations (two IU faculty recommendations and one other from internship/work supervisor/club advisor, etc.). Such students may take two or three, three-credit courses from the DSU program during their IU Senior year, with those credits both applying to their Immaculata degree and to the requirements for the DSU degree program.

Another agreement provides for a minimum of two (2) IU students will be guaranteed admission into the DPT program at DSU on the condition that they have graduated from IU with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science or a related science-based discipline, and that they satisfy all other DeSales University admissions requirements into the three-year graduate DPT program. In addition, any IU student who meets all DSU admissions requirements will be eligible to receive an invitation to interview.

Gwynedd-Mercy University

Immaculata University has an agreement with Gwynedd-Mercy University (GMU) for IU undergraduate students that provides a smooth path into GMU’s Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) and Master of Science in Occupational Therapy (MSOT) programs. GMU will waive the application fees and guarantee interviews for qualified Immaculata University students applying to either of these programs.

Marywood University

A sister IHM school, Marywood University offers pathways for highly qualified IU undergraduate students to various graduate programs:

  • Master of Arts in Art Therapy: IU Seniors with a 3.0 or higher GPA may apply to the program. Students will have had to complete 18 credits in studio art courses as well as 12 psychology credits and submit a virtual portfolio of 10-15 artworks. IU applicants complete all other application requirements and Marywood will waive the application fee. IU students accepted into the program pay only 50% of the student acceptance deposit fee and receive a 20% tuition discount.
  • Master of Social Work: IU Seniors in the Social Work program with a 3.0 or higher GPA or demonstrated potential for graduate work may apply to the program. For IU applicants, Marywood will waive the application fee. Applicants must complete the other application materials and complete an interview with the Director of the MSW program. IU students accepted into the program receive a 20% tuition discount.
  • Physician’s Assistant Program: highly qualified Immaculata students who meet the outlined criteria – successful completion of designated science and related course work, GRE/PA-CAT scores, three letters of recommendation (one from a PA-C), a minimum 500 documented direct patient care hours, a minimum 50 hours shadowing a PA, and submission of the application materials by stated timelines – will be guaranteed an interview with Marywood University’s Physician Assistant Selection Committee.

Messiah University

This partnership with Messiah University (MU) provides a pathway, for well-qualified Immaculata Undergraduate students who have met the specific prerequisites for MUS’s program, to complete a bachelor’s degree at Immaculata and complete a Master of Occupational Therapy degree at Messiah University.

IU will pre-screen applications for students seeking enrollment through this partnership, considering students as early as the spring of their junior year in the applicant pool. In late September, IU will coordinate with MU, sharing screened applications (requirements listed below) so that MU may reach out in October to those applicants regarding their application.

For consideration for admission into the Messiah University MOT program, an Immaculata University
student must successfully meet all the admissions requirements and successfully complete an
admissions interview with the Messiah University MOT faculty and/or occupational therapists.

  • Earned baccalaureate degree from Immaculata University, including all required pre-requisites as
  • described in the Addendum
  • Minimum Cumulative GPA of 3.3 or above on a 4.0 scale upon graduation
  • Minimum Pre-requisite GPA of a 3.3 or above on a 4.0 scale upon graduation
  • Submitted Occupational Therapy Central Application System (OTCAS) application
  • Submit via OTCAS 3 required letters of recommendation (Preferably one from an OT).
  • 20 hours of observation or volunteer work in any occupational therapy practice setting are encouraged
  • Interview with Messiah University MOT Faculty and/or occupational therapists with a minimum score of 15 on the interview rubric

Neumann University

Through a partnership with Neumann University, Immaculata undergraduate students who meet specified entrance criteria below will receive guaranteed admission into Neumann’s Master of Science program in Sports Business.

Qualified candidates will have earned a baccalaureate degree from Immaculata, maintaining a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.  Admissions process also requires submission of all official undergraduate transcripts, two letters of recommendation, and a letter of application to the program director outlining the student’s reasons for pursuing an M.S. in Sport Business.

Penn State University – Great Valley

A partnership with Penn State Great Valley provides qualified Immaculata students the opportunity to pursue a variety of master’s degree programs – in Finance, Professional Accounting, Data Analytics, Information Science, or Software Engineering – as well as an option for a Graduate Certificate in Cyber Threat Analytics and Prevention.

Applicants for the Finance, Professional Accounting, Information Science, or Software Engineering programs must have earned a minimum 3.3 GPA in their undergraduate course work, submit GMAT/GRE scores, demonstrate quantitative skills (as evidenced on transcripts) and complete the Graduate School online application.

Students pursuing either the Data Analytics degree or Graduate Certificate also need to have earned a minimum 3.3 GPA in their undergraduate course work and complete the Graduate School online application but are not required to submit GRE scores.

IU students are waived the application fee to these programs, and those students taking 12 credits per semester at Penn State Great Valley will qualify for the Chancellor Scholarship (in the amount of $10,000 to $15,000 for the year).

Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM)

Through this partnership, qualified Immaculata University students may participate in two program options:

  • A 4+2 program leading to completion of a bachelor’s degree from Immaculata and a Master of Science (MS) degree in forensic medicine from PCOM.
  • A 4+4 program leading to the completion of a bachelor’s degree from Immaculata and a doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from PCOM.

All Candidates for these selective programs must meet the following criteria:

  • Indicate an intent to apply during fall term of the sophomore year of study;
  • Meet PCOM’s published admissions criteria;
  • Complete all required pre-requisite coursework as listed in PCOM’s catalog for entry into the PCOM program;
  • Satisfactorily complete an interview with the Faculty Committee on Admissions at PCOM.

Additionally, MS Candidates must:

  • Submit all required application materials to PCOM by January 31 of their senior year of study;
  • Maintain a minimum, cumulative GPA (overall and in science courses) of 3.0 or higher (MS).

Additionally, DO Candidates must:

  • Submit all required application materials to PCOM by October 31 of the senior year and the PCOM supplemental application and fee no later than November 30 of senior year;
  • Maintain a minimum, cumulative GPA (overall and in science courses) of 3.25 or higher (DO) by the end of junior year (DO);
  • Take the Medical College Admissions Test (MCAT) as early as possible but no later than fall of senior year and earn a minimum composite score of 504 with at least a 126 in each section;

Salus University

A university renowned for its health science programs, Salus University has entered into agreements connecting IU undergraduate students with their graduate programs, including 4+2 programs with the Master’s in Occupational Therapy (MSOT) and Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies (PA) and 4+4 programs leading to their Doctor of Audiology (AuD) and Doctor of Optometry (OD) degrees. Applicants must complete required pre-requisite coursework for each program with a required minimum GPA, maintain specified cumulative GPAs, apply through a program-specific application service, submit Graduate Record Exam (GRE) scores, and interview with the program’s admissions board. Temple University

In partnership with Temple, Immaculata offers the option of an accelerated 4+1 program, leading to a B.S. in Chemistry from Immaculata and a Professional Science Master’s Degree (PSM) in Forensic Chemistry from Temple.

Candidates for the program must have:

  • A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2 in at least 45 credits of undergraduate work taken at Immaculata;
  • Two letters of recommendation from full-time Immaculata faculty to support the student’s admission into the 4+1 program;
  • Completed at least 18 credits of required courses for degree program;
  • Apply to and satisfy all Temple admissions requirements and deadlines for the PSM program as early as spring of the sophomore year and no later than fall of their junior year;
  • Be able to complete undergraduate degree while completing the 13 credits of graduate work in four or fewer full-time semesters, and
  • Be able to complete the graduate degree in one additional year, which follows directly after graduating with undergraduate degree.

Thomas Jefferson University

Pharm.D.
Immaculata University offers a Pre-Pharmacology degree that, in partnership with the College of Pharmacy at Thomas Jefferson University, leads to a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree.

This program requires a specific track of coursework to prepare students to matriculate seamlessly into Jefferson’s College of Pharmacy following three years of study at Immaculata University. The program is open to any IU students who meet the admissions criteria of Thomas Jefferson’s College of Pharmacy. Interested and qualified applicants would begin the application process at the end of their fifth semester of enrollment at IU (halfway through junior year) and must apply through PharmCAS.

Public Health (MPH) /Health Policy (MS-HP)
Immaculata also has an agreement with Jefferson’s School of Population Health, allowing priority admission for qualified IU students into the school’s Master of Public Health (MPH) and Master of Science in Health Policy (MC-HP) programs.

Master of Science in Emergency and Disaster Management
This agreement guarantees admission for Immaculata students into Jefferson’s master’s program and waives the application fee, also applies to Immaculata students majoring in public health or minoring in emergency planning and management. A minimum GPA of 3.0 is required along with adherence to all Jefferson admissions criteria.

Master of Science in Real Estate Development
The Admission program provides qualified Immaculata students with a clear path to earn admission into the Jefferson Program. Applicants must meet the following criteria to earn guaranteed admission:

  • Be a rising senior/senior year student who will have earned a bachelor's degree from Immaculata before enrollment in the Jefferson Program.
  • Be a first-time applicant to the Admission program.
  • Meet the following admissions criteria:
    • Degree Requirement: B.S. Accounting; B.S. Finance; B.S. Business Management or B.S. Marketing Management
    • GPA Requirement: minimum 3.0 (overall)
    • Personal Statement: Outlines interest in the M.S. in Real Estate Development and how this course of study and credential relate to a desired career path.
    • Apply via Jefferson’s online application—applicants who apply from Immaculata via the Admission Program will receive an application fee waiter upon application submission.

Jefferson will offer an annual $5,000 Dean’s Scholarship to each qualified student who has graduated from Immaculata, satisfied the requirements, and has been accepted into Jefferson’s M.S. in Real Estate Development program. This amount will be divided evenly over the fall and spring semesters in the academic year (summer semester is not included). Scholarship is contingent on full-time enrollment of 9 credits per semester and is renewable provided the student is in good standing with the Jefferson Program. If a student enrolls in 6-8 credits per semester, they will receive half of the total award; enrollment in fewer than 6 credits per semester will forfeit the scholarship. A change in program or campus location may affect scholarship eligibility.

Master of Science in Historic Preservation
The Admission program provides qualified Immaculata students with a clear path to earn admission into the Jefferson Program. Applicants must meet the following criteria to earn guaranteed admission:

  • Be a rising senior/senior year student who will have earned a bachelor's degree from Immaculata before enrollment in the Jefferson Program.
  • Be a first-time applicant to the Admission program.
  • Meet the following admissions criteria:
    • Degree Requirement: B.A. History; B.A. English or B.A. Liberal Arts
    • GPA Requirement: minimum 3.0 (overall)
    • Personal Statement: Outlines interest in the M.S. in Historic Preservation and how this course of study and credential relate to a desired career path.
    • Apply via Jefferson’s online application—applicants who apply from Immaculata via the Admission Program will receive an application fee waiter upon application submission.

Jefferson will offer an annual $5,000 Dean’s Scholarship to each qualified student who has graduated from Immaculata, satisfied the requirements, and has been accepted into Jefferson’s M.S. in Historic Preservation program. This amount will be divided evenly over the fall and spring semesters in the academic year (summer semester is not included). Widener University Delaware Law School

Immaculata and Widener University’s Delaware Law School also offer two pathways for qualified Immaculata students:

3+3 Early Admission Program: This option is for full-time Immaculata students who meet the specified criteria below:

  • Complete 75% of bachelor’s degree requirements before enrolling at Delaware Law;
  • Earn a cumulative GPA at Immaculata of 3.0 or higher for every semester at Immaculata;
  • Achieve an LSAT score that meets or exceeds the median LSAT score of the current Delaware Law first year entering class;
  • Satisfy all law school admissions requirements relating to character and fitness;
  • Submit a completed application to Delaware law no later than April 1 of the calendar year in which student plans to begin legal study.

Guaranteed admission: this option is extended to Immaculata students who meet the following criteria:

  • Complete all Immaculata degree requirements before enrolling in courses at Delaware Law;
  • Earn cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher through time of law school application review;
  • Achieve an LSAT score that meets or exceeds the median LSAT score of the current Delaware Law first year entering class;
  • Satisfy all law school admissions requirements relating to character and fitness;
  • Submit a completed application to Delaware law no later than April 1 of the calendar year in which student plans to begin legal study.

Both 3+3 Early Admission and Guaranteed Admission program participants will be awarded a minimum $30,000 merit scholarship for enrollment as a full-time student in Delaware Law School’s Regular Division. This merit award is renewable provided student maintains good standing at Delaware Law.
