Major-Payton School of Business
Established in 2025, the Major-Payton School of Business develops ethical, service-oriented business leaders for the global community. Faculty, who are expert professionals, bring their real-life industry experience into the classroom. In turn, students participate in service-learning projects and supervised field work that help them apply their learning and develop their analytical, technological, and communication skills. As a result, graduates from the Major-Payton School of Business are prepared to take on leadership roles in a variety of business and fashion endeavors, guided by integrity to make a difference in the world.

Major Knowledge, Skills and Capabilities
Upon successful completion of the B.S. in Accounting degree program, students will meet business degree program outcomes and be able to demonstrate knowledge, skills and capabilities essential to the major (see Program Outcome 1 above):
- Create, analyze, and evaluate the four basic financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Statement of Cash Flows, and Statement of Owners Equity).
- Understand, assess, and evaluate internal accounting controls for a company applying Professional Auditing Standards and Practices. Specific skills should include: an ability to develop an audit plan; apply audit sampling techniques to audit plans; and demonstrate familiarity with the fundamentals of ACL audit software.
- Prepare transactions and analyze accounts applying financial and managerial accounting standards and utilizing appropriate terminology.
- Understand and apply accounting transactions for advanced accounting topics including corporate consolidations, partnership accounting, governmental accounting, and international considerations.
- Prepare individual and corporate tax returns including the appropriate research and application of current tax code regulations.

- Decode and describe jobs, positions and structure in the context of the strategy of an organization including specifying skills inventory required.
- Develop recruitment strategy and approach for specific organizational positions based on assessment of alternative recruitment methods, interview techniques, and selection process styles.
- Complete a needs assessment and develop training programs for specific positions within an organization.
- Analyze employee benefits alternatives and operating dynamics based on core decision-making rationale, including costs, motivational impact, operational considerations, market trends and collective bargaining agreements.

- Design, execute and analyze targeted marketing research applying appropriate research method, as well as qualitative and quantitative data analysis.

- Demonstrate knowledge of the structure, functions, and operations of various organizations in the sport industry.
- Develop effective marketing strategies for sport organizations, including social media campaigns, sponsorships, and fan engagement.
- Demonstrate ability to plan and manage sporting events, tournaments, and competitions, including aspects such as logistics, budgeting, risk management, and operations.
- Analyze and apply strategic management principles in sport organizations.
- Conduct research and utilize data analysis techniques to inform decision-making in sport management contexts.
Upon successful completion of the B.S. in Business and Supply Chain Management degree program, students will meet business degree program outcomes and be able to demonstrate knowledge, skills and capabilities essential to the major (see Program Outcome 1 above):
- Understand and apply foundational knowledge of supply chain management and logistics to coordinate the flow of goods and services and balance supply and demand to achieve optimal inventory and service levels
- Develop strategies to achieve sustainable competitive advantage through cost, risk, and price management techniques enabled through supplier scorecards, Make vs. Buy, and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) decisions.
- Evaluate efficient production and distribution systems through inventory management, capacity analysis, and forecasting using techniques such as Total Quality Management (TQM) and Lean Six Sigma.
- Examine global logistics network decisions, including export-import procedures, transportation modes, warehousing, distribution, fulfillment, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Integrate supply chain concepts and strategies to optimize business practices across procurement, inventory, and distribution while participating in real-world simulations with a fulfillment center tour.
Upon successful completion of the B.S. in Finance, Wealth Management & Financial Planning degree program, students will meet business degree program outcomes and be able to demonstrate knowledge, skills and capabilities essential to the major (see Program Outcome 1 above):
- Analyze financial statements to evaluate a firm’s performance using key financial ratios of profitability, asset utilization, debt, liquidity, and market value. Based on this analysis, determine the firm’s strengths and weaknesses.
- Effectively apply and analyze required rate of return, and time value of money for applications including managing investments, capital budgeting, and cost of capital assessment.
- Understand and assess the operation, mechanisms and structure of the United States banking system including the regulatory and policy role of the Federal Reserve.
- Assess and develop investment objectives for a well-diversified investment portfolio, specifically regarding the relationship between risk and return.
- Apply finance and risk management concepts in developing recommended budgets and financial plans.
Progression Requirements
After completing 48 credit hours, Accounting, Business and Fashion, Business and Human Resource Management, Business and Marketing Management, Business and Sports Management, Business and Supply Chain Management, and Finance, Wealth Management & Financial Planning majors must maintain an overall GPA of 2.5 in department courses.

Fashion Merchandising Degrees
Program Vision
The Fashion Merchandising Program at Immaculata University offers students both a creative and analytical curriculum, which contains industry-driven courses, taught by experts in the business of fashion, where the relationships between design, merchandising, and marketing are explored.
Program Outcomes
Upon completion of the fashion merchandising degree program, students will earn a Bachelor of Science degree and be able to:
- exhibit creative problem-solving, global awareness and technical aptitude.

Progression Requirements
The following are standards for retention in the program:
- Minimum GPA of 2.5 in major area; maintenance of at least a B- grade in every course in the minor sequence.
- A grade of C or better in Retail Math
- A presentation of a well-defined and realistic short and long term career goals during advising appointment first semester sophomore year.
- Evidence of ongoing fashion work experience including two fashion related work references due during advising appointment first semester sophomore year.
