IU Degrees

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania charters Immaculata University to grant degrees. The University currently awards the following degrees: Ed.D., Ph.D., Psy.D., Ed.S., M.A., M.A.T., M.B.A., M.M., M.S., M.S.N., B.A., B.S., B.Mus., B.S.N., A.A., and A.S. The University reserves the right to set the requirements for these degrees.

Undergraduate Degrees and Programs

Note: programs appearing in italics below are not accepting new enrollments beginning in Fall 2027.

Associate's Degrees

For the Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree, students may pursue majors in biology, communication, education, English, general studies, history-politics, psychology, social services, and theology.

For the Associate of Science (A.S.) degree, students may pursue majors in accounting, biology, business administration, computer information systems, cybersecurity*, emergency management, fashion merchandising, and social services (education).

Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)

The B.A. degree programs (majors), offered in traditional format, include the following: biology; communication (digital communication – media, digital communication – design, or public relations and journalism); criminology; cybersecurity; education; English, English/professional writing; general science; history; music; music (performance); politics, law, and policy; psychology; social studies (history); social work; and theology.

Bachelor of Music (B.Mus.)

For the B.Mus. degree, majors include music education (preparing students for teaching music from kindergarten through grade 12) and music therapy (preparing students for the board-certified examination).

Bachelor of Science (B.S.)

The B.S. degree programs of concentration, offered in traditional format, include the following fields of study: accounting*; allied health; applied computer science; biology; business and fashion; business and human resource management; business and marketing management;  business and sport management; business and supply chain management; cybersecurity*; emergency planning and management; exercise science; fashion merchandising; finance, wealth management & financial planning*, interactive media; nutrition and dietetics; and pre-pharmacy.

Immaculata also serves adult learners who wish to earn an undergraduate degree through alternative delivery formats (accelerated, online). The following degree programs are available in such formats: business leadership; cybersecurity*, emergency planning and management, and health care management.

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N.)

The B.S.N. degree includes a pre-licensure BSN program offered in the following formats:

  • traditional format;
  • as a second degree, accelerated B.S.N. for students who have already achieved a bachelor's degree in another field; and
  • as an LPN to BSN track offered for licensed professional nurses seeking to achieve a bachelor's degree.

*LCMC Consortium (RIZE)

Some majors, minors, concentrations, and courses are offered online through a consortium of regionally accredited colleges and universities. Instruction is provided by faculty employed by partner institutions within the consortium, with technology and administrative support provided by Rize Education.

Oversight of courses offered through the consortium are reviewed and approved by Immaculata University and its accreditor. Students register through Immaculata and receive academic credit from Immaculata University.
